DIVINE
DIVINE
Somewhere I have never traveled, gladly beyond
My experiences; your eyes have their silence.
Through realms of emotion, uncharted and vast,
Your gaze leads me onward, a compass steadfast.
In your most frail gestures are things which enclose me;
Or which I cannot touch because they are too near.
A whisper, a touch, a fleeting embrace,
Each moment with you, a sacred space.
Your slightest look will easily unclose me,
You open, always, petal by petal, myself, as Spring nears.
As petals unfurl, revealing the heart,
So too does my soul, when we’re not apart.
Nothing which we are to perceive in this world
Equals the power of your intense fragility.
Fragility whose texture compels me, like the colors of countries,
Rendering death and forever with each breathing.
In the tapestry of life, your threads intertwine,
A masterpiece woven, both human and divine.
