CASCADES
CASCADES
Paths cross,
Feet stumble into knowing,
ADHD’s wild river we both ride,
Navigating its rapids with a shared compass,
Born stubborn, breech-first into the world,
Unimpressed by the parade of predecessors. Laughter echoes, sarcasm flies,
Over the net of miles between us,
Our voices bridge the gap, turning distance into mere illusion,
Caught in the web of honest compassion,
Embraces without judgment,
A shared mission: to pay it forward,
To inch better than yesterday,
To lift others as we climb. Your empire rises,
A testament to your grit and grace,
Brick by brick, mortar of sweat,
Long hours your currency.
I stand here, not to build,
But to amplify, to echo your name,
So when you reach for the moon,
And perhaps miss,
You’ll still bask in starlight,
Knowing I cheer from the shadows,
Grateful for the light you share.
