WITH YOU THE WORLD'S OKAY
With You, the World’s Okay
Stuck in traffic on a sweltering day,
With the car’s AC deciding to betray,
I don’t mind the heat, the horns’ loud bray,
With you beside me, it’s a small dismay.
At a concert where the band’s offbeat,
And the singer’s voice is far from sweet,
I don’t mind the noise, the discordant feat,
Your laughter’s the rhythm that can’t be beat.
Camping in the rain, with tents all soaked,
Fire won’t light, and the weather’s provoked,
I don’t mind the chill, the plans that choked,
With you, every moment’s a story evoked.
Through spilled coffee or a stubbed toe,
Life’s little woes that come and go,
I don’t mind the bumps, the ebb and flow,
With you, my love, I bask in the glow.
So here’s to us, to love’s embrace,
In every challenge, in every space,
With you, my dear, in every case,
The world is a brighter, happier place.
