Day starts, head lost in the haze, all lazy,

Distracted, delirious, thoughts kinda hazy.

To-do list lookin' like a ghost town,

But butterflies in my gut, they ain't slowin' down.

Triggered by your laughter, got me smilin' dumb,

Recollectin' freckles like them dots and crumbs.

Daydreams untrained, floatin' wild and free,

No real estate reserved for a mystery like we.

Smilin' contours, they etched in my brain,

Upstream swimmin', I'd embrace the pain.

Abused by crumbs, breadcrumbs, you sprinkle,

Like a map I follow, your star, it twinkle.

Freckles on my mind, contours I adore,

Memorizin' daydreams, always wantin' more.

Butterflies flutterin', hearts racin' fast,

Chasin' them shadows, hopin' it'll last.

Rationality on speed dial, tryin' to cope,

For guidance and decisions, for a glimmer of hope.

Draw the line, clean and clear, no blurrin',

Keep that heart close, stop it from stirrin'.

Confused, amused, but still I tread,

On a trail of scraps, the map you spread.

Loiterin’ sensitivity, lost in the breeze,

Trailin’ after crumbs, followin' with ease.
