SINCE YOU'VE BEEN AROUND (FOR CRANSTON)

 SINCE YOU"VE BEEN AROUND

Since you entered my world, it's spun in reverse,
A whirlwind of wonder, a beautiful curse.
Our connection sparks in the simplest of games—
Monkeys bouncing on beds, hide-and-seek claims,
Swing-set confessions and slides full of glee,
Building bridges from playgrounds to what we might be.
Fate drew our numbers in life's random draw,
No shiny prizes, just raw, open awe.
My heart's ninety-nine percent poured into dreams—
Compassion's warm glow, creativity's streams,
Visions of you as a man, strong and true,
In futures unfolding, painted in blue.
Your joy is my compass, your growth my grand quest,
We climb trees of trust, loyalty's crest,
Reaching for clouds in a sky without end,
Consistency's branches where hearts learn to mend.
In these magical instants of laughter and trial,
Adventures that challenge, that spark, that beguile,
I cherish the rush, the light you've unfurled,
Since you turned my quiet into a world.
I don't hold the reins or dictate the path,
Can't seal pinky oaths in the aftermath.
But this I declare, with unwavering might:
Each dawn that finds you beneath this same light,
I'll listen with patience, strive harder each day,
For you are my rhythm, my beat, come what may.
