SHADES OF YOU

 SHADES OF YOU

Our Summer has faded, the golden days now dust,
Whispers of warmth that once enveloped us,
The sun-kissed fields where laughter freely flowed,
Now lie in shadows, beneath a heavier load.
The rosy dawns we wandered hand in hand,
Painting the sky with hues of love's grand plan,
Have dimmed to ashen grey, a veil of sorrow's art,
Echoing the ache that grips my weary heart.
My world has turned to blue, a sea of endless night,
Where memories drift like ghosts in pale moonlight,
The paths we traced, now overgrown and wild,
Remind me of the joy we shared, untamed and mild.
In these double-digit years, a decade's heavy chain,
I've wandered through the storms, the relentless rain,
Missing fragments of you—your smile, your gentle fire,
The way your presence set my soul entire.
Yet seasons cycle on, though winter lingers long,
I search for spring in every fleeting song,
Hoping one day the colors will return anew,
To mend this broken palette, and bring back shades of you.
