UNSAID

UNSAID

When your embrace, once a sanctuary of heat and solace,
Now feels like a distant echo, faint and fleeting,
Leaving me shivering in the void of your absence,
I am unsure of my path, lost in the fog of doubt,
Groping through shadows that twist and fade.  Fears swarm like moths around a flame,
Their wings whispering doubts into the thick July air,
Each buzz a reminder of the fragility of us,
A chorus of unease I cannot silence,
Yet I stand, unafraid, in the eye of this storm,
Clutching the truth of my own resilience.  I dissect my heart, tracing the lines of joy and sorrow,
Mapping the terrain of our love with the precision of a cartographer,
Every peak a memory of laughter, every valley a quiet ache,
Knowing that this landscape, flawed and beautiful,
Is a testament to the depth of what we share,
A history etched in the marrow of my being.  Your voice caresses my name, a melody that resonates in my soul,
Soft as a breeze through summer leaves,
And in your hazel eyes, flecked with gold and green,
I see my reflection—not just a mirror,
But a window to your heart, open and unguarded,
Genuine and unwavering, a beacon piercing the dark.  Our hearts beat in sync, a rhythm that needs no words,
A dance of souls entwined in the fabric of time,
An unspoken pact woven through glances and silences,
We are not just reading the same story—
We are writing it together,
Each word a testament to our journey,
Each sentence a step closer to a horizon we both dream.  Days blur into nights, a relentless cascade of hours,
Responsibilities pulling us in different directions,
Like tides tearing at the shore,
Yet in the quiet moments, I yearn for the simplicity of us—
For the laughter that echoes in the halls of memory,
For the touch that speaks volumes in silence,
A language only we understand.  Life happens, obligations rise like mountains,
Time becomes precious as currency,
Slipping through our fingers like coins we cannot hold,
And still, amidst the chaos, I find myself waiting,
Listening for the sound of your voice to steady me,
To pull me back to the center of us.  I just want to hear you say, directly, clearly,
No riddles, no hesitation,
That we are both in this together,
Your words, a balm to my restless soul,
A promise that we are not just passengers,
But co-pilots charting this voyage of love,
Steering through storms with hands clasped tight.  Voicing it brings a renewed vitality,
A spark that reignites the flame of our connection,
For in the spoken word lies the power to heal,
To bridge the chasm of uncertainty,
To gather the scattered pieces of my doubts,
