(Your) Gravity
(Your) Gravity
The mere thought of your nearness sets my skin alight,
A spark of genuine thrill I can’t quite define.
I’d never confess how often you slip into my mind,
Day bleeding into night, your shadow ever mine.
I don’t pretend to understand the flutter within,
Butterflies like waves of you, crashing, unbidden.
They ride the tide of unspoken words, deeds yet to be,
Bound to the feelings our chemistry sets free.
I don’t have answers, and perhaps I don’t seek them,
For the mystery is a gem, rare and unbroken.
I’m drunk on the shine of your unfiltered truth,
Your authenticity, bright and untouched, ever in bloom.
I won’t cross lines or make vows unasked,
But if you beckon, I’ll follow, unmasked.
In that case, the outcomes are yours to own—
You’re the mad scientist, and I’m in your zone.
