VEILED REFLECTIONS
Veiled Reflections
You are a mystery, like a mirror fogged by breath,
I wait for the steam to clear, to see the depth.
But clarity comes slowly, like dawn after the night,
And in the meantime, we dance in half-light.
Our words are like books with chapters torn,
Leaving gaps for interpretation, where meaning is born.
We hold back the truth, not to deceive,
But to guard the fragile hearts we both believe.
Life is a chessboard, each move a careful play,
I watch your pieces, plan my strategy day by day.
For every gesture offered, another lies in wait,
I’ve learned to anticipate, to navigate the bait.
Society’s a stage, where masks are worn with pride,
Actors in an endless play, with truths they try to hide.
Voices clamor for the spotlight, chasing fleeting fame,
Lost in roles they’ve chosen, forgetting their own name.
But through the fog and games, I’ve carved a path alone,
Through shadowed woods or streets, a journey all my own.
I’ve found my peace in silence, my compass in the dark,
A way to reach my harbor, guided by my spark.
