MOONLIGHT STILLNESS

Moonlit Stillness

In the nursery’s hush, where our little one dreams,

I just want to lie here, bathed in moonbeams.

The wolves of ambition, they can howl at the night,

But with you, my love, everything feels right.

Our dance is a tango, passionate and true,

One step forward, one sideways, just me and you.

And when the earth quakes, and the skies turn to gray,

We’ll hold each other tighter, come what may.

When our atoms disperse, and we return to the earth,

Our love will be wildflowers, a testament to our worth.

And in the next life, whatever form we may take,

I’ll follow you always, for love’s own sake.

So let the world rush by, let the clocks tick away,

With you in my arms, I could stay here all day.

I don’t wanna strive for nothin’ anymore,

Just to lie here with you—that’s what I adore.
