DAYDREAM'S SPARK
Daydream’s Spark
You are the spark, the quiet fire,
that sets my smiles alight—
genuine, unfiltered,
a dazzle born from the thought of you.
My favorite daydream,
you sharpen the edges of my mind,
vivid and intense,
painting worlds I ache to touch.
In the hush of closed eyes,
I slip into those places—
sunlit meadows where laughter blooms,
or the ocean’s edge, waves murmuring secrets
as the sun bleeds into the horizon.
These are not mere fantasies;
they are promises,
waiting to breathe,
to come alive when I stand before you.
And when that moment comes,
when I am face to face with you,
the world will blur,
fading into the pull of your gaze.
I will be weak—
already am—
knees trembling, heart unsteady,
free-falling into the depths,
the infinite black holes
of your beautiful eyes.
There, in that endless dark,
I find light,
a universe unfolding,
pulling me deeper,
into the soul of you.
Anticipation hums beneath my skin,
a current too strong to resist,
as I surrender to the gravity
of what we could be.
You are the dream I hold close,
the spark that keeps me alight,
and soon,
