APPREHENSION'S CALL

Apprehension’s Call

Apprehension, a shadow at my door,

Knocks with insistent dread, unyielding, raw.

My heart, a drumbeat of uncertainty, pounds,

Palms slick with anticipation, breath in shallow rounds.

The unknown stretches before me, vast, uncharted sea,

Yet I stand ready, poised on the edge of what might be.

A Shifting World

The world tilts, foundations shift beneath my feet,

Doubt a luxury I cannot afford, no room for retreat.

This is Cloud 9, where bliss and clarity entwine,

The air crisp, the horizon boundless, divine.

Everything is shifting, weight beneath me sways,

Yet here, in this moment, my spirit lifts and stays.

An Unexpected Gift

A serendipitous gift, this find I never sought,

Nestles into the hollows of my being, dearly bought.

It makes me whole, as if a missing piece has clicked,

Into place, completing a puzzle long tricked.

To feel more whole and complete, a pleasant surprise,

To find what I didn’t know I sought, under these skies.

The Value of You

Your time, a precious currency, I vow to honor true,

Through gestures small and grand, my gratitude will accrue.

Together, we’ll navigate this shared, winding path,

A mutual exchange, a bond that will last.

If you lend me your time, I promise to recall,

The appraisal of your attention, your reciprocity, all.

A Bridge of Words

Our words, swift messengers, traverse the space between,

Each message a thread, weaving a tapestry unseen.

Accepting and returning, as fast as you send,

Communication, our bridge, on which we depend.

A dance of thoughts and words, connecting us tight,

Across any distance, bringing darkness to light.

A Different Chance

This chance I am taking, different this time around,

A unique gem, gleaming with promise profound.

I embrace it, knowing the risks, yet drawn near,

By the potential for growth, for transformation clear.

It beckons with a whisper, a call to the brave,

To step forward, to risk, to perhaps be saved.

Autumn’s Grace

Should your interest wane, like autumn’s vibrant leaves,

I’ll gather my resolve, and quietly take my leave.

No burden of guilt, no shadow of regret,

Just the quiet strength of adaptation, a mindset.

I’d remain stoic, but I would adapt and mend,

For in the end, resilience is a faithful friend.

Above the World

Aloft in our balloon, the world unfurls below,

Cities become miniature, perspectives shift and grow.

This hot air balloon ride, above the world so grand,

Is amazingly perspective-changing, as we understand.

Here, optimism is the wind in our sails,

Carrying us toward possibilities, where hope prevails.

A Seat Reserved

If you must depart, if you high-tail it away,

Remember my words, let them gently sway.

Beside me, a seat remains, reserved with care,

A place of honor and hope, always there.

In case of emergency, in case you choose to flee,
