Seven-year-old's with obese worries:

rent, grocery money, misc bills;

worry keeps his eyes open,

long after the sun set.

Anger boils,

like a kettle on a hot stove,

and bewilders communities

when it spills into flying fists

and firing guns.

It doesn't take much,

to understand, or trace,

the why's of the Columbine-mentality.

Monsters,

like all things,

start out small;

and grow with their years.
