DESPITE

Despite the, fierce as dragon-words,

in between our eyes, layered with emotions;

our eyes stay locked,

that which I will not divert my eyes from.

I still wonder, if you can, or could, possibly,

comprehend, the magnitude of love

that exists here.

Grasping for words, to speak, emote, express,

to annunciate the endless depths of recent feelings;

all that I have come to feel for you.

Instead, of letting words, just fall,

from my tongue,

I find myself stuck somewhere

between amazing and disbelief

Words frozen, like glaciers,

that would take years to thaw out.

Quietly, in loud silence, of your emerald-eyes,

in the cover of darkness,

that this feeling would never evaporate.

Hoping with all my might,

that, intuitively, that you already know;

or can translate,

all I cannot say.
